Course description
This course provides students with mechanisms and techniques to understand non-violence philosophy, its roots and areas of application at the educational, social and professional levels and in conflict management and building relationships. This course aims at enabling students acquire the skills of analyzing non-violent concepts, starting by Gandhi and the "a-himsa", and leading to a revision of what the philosophers presented to humanity and thus on the basis of the philosophy of nonviolence. With methodological standards, students will learn to compare between the concepts and the lexicon of violence and the concepts and the lexicon of nonviolence. In this course, students will be able to gain general scientific knowledge about the origins of the violence and the human nature theories, in order to discover the meaning of the ‘real self’ and ‘false self’.
Students will prepare two to three articles about non-violence philosophers.
